In honour of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (s.a.)
The Al-Zahra Scholarship Test is named after Fatima bint Muhammad, commonly known as Fatima al-Zahra, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) and Sayyida Khadija bint Khuwaylid. She was the wife of Imam Ali (a.s.) and the mother of Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn (a.s.).
The Prophet is reported to have regarded her as the best of women and the dearest person to him, and she has often been compared to Maryam (Mary), the mother of Isa (Jesus), especially in Shia Islam. Across generations she has been remembered as a timeless example for women, and as a model of knowledge, compassion, generosity, dignity and patience in hardship.
By naming this scholarship after her, we hope to encourage every student, and especially our daughters, to pursue knowledge with sincerity, perseverance and a spirit of service.

- Scholarships apply to the Meer Sir Academy coaching fee. Rank 1 receives ₹35,000 (or 100% fee off), Rank 2 ₹30,000 (or 90% fee off) and Rank 3 ₹25,000 (or 80% fee off).
- The total value of scholarships is ₹2,00,000 across 50 awardees.
- It is not a Jamia Millia Islamia scholarship and does not guarantee admission to any university.
- The application fee for the test is ₹99.

What is the Al-Zahra Scholarship Test?
It is Meer Sir Academy's scholarship test for students joining our JMI entrance coaching. Scholarships worth ₹2,00,000 in total are awarded on merit. It is also called the Meer Sir Academy Scholarship, and the name is sometimes written Alzahra or Al Zahra Scholarship.
What do the top 3 rankers get?
Rank 1 receives ₹35,000 (or 100% fee off), Rank 2 receives ₹30,000 (or 90% fee off) and Rank 3 receives ₹25,000 (or 80% fee off).
How many scholarships are awarded?
50 scholarships: Rank 1 ₹35,000 (or 100% fee off), Rank 2 ₹30,000 (or 90% fee off), Rank 3 ₹25,000 (or 80% fee off); the next 7 up to 50%, the next 20 a 25% fee discount and the next 20 a 10% fee discount. All 50 awardees also receive a trophy and a certificate.
Who can apply?
Students joining Meer Sir Academy coaching for any JMI entrance – school (Class 6, 9 and 11), diploma, undergraduate (UG), BCA, B.A. LL.B., B.Ed., D.El.Ed., MBA or postgraduate (PG).
What should I prepare for the scholarship test?
For Class 6 entrance, prepare the CBSE-based Class 5 syllabus; for Class 9 entrance, the CBSE-based Class 8 syllabus; and for Class 11 Arts, Commerce and Science entrance, the CBSE-based Classes 9 and 10 syllabus. UG Arts covers English Comprehension, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Social Awareness and Current Affairs. UG Science covers Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Reasoning and English. UG Commerce covers English Comprehension, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Economics, Business Studies, Basic Quantitative Aptitude, Accountancy (Class 12 based) and Current Affairs. B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. cover General Intelligence / Reasoning, Teaching Aptitude, Current Educational Affairs, Pedagogy, General Knowledge and Language Competency. BCA / B.Sc. (Computer Applications) covers Mathematics, Computer Awareness, Logical Reasoning, English Language and General Knowledge. B.A. LL.B. covers Legal Aptitude / Legal Reasoning, General Studies / General Knowledge, Legal Language (English including Comprehension), Current Affairs and Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability). MBA covers English Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Numerical Ability, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Reasoning and General Intelligence, and Current Affairs and the Economic / Business Environment. Other master’s programmes have a subject-specific syllabus for the respective subject.
What is the application fee and test date?
The application fee is ₹99, payable by Google Pay or any UPI app. The test is on 16 November 2026; timing and details are shared with every registered candidate.
Is this a Jamia Millia Islamia scholarship?
No. It is offered by Meer Sir Academy on its own coaching fee. It is not a JMI scholarship and does not guarantee admission to any university.
